About Us

The Bamboo and Rattan Association of Tanzania (BARATA) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2004. Its main aim is to promote the use of bamboo and rattan as a means of promoting environmentally sustainable development in Tanzania. BARATA works towards achieving this by providing technical assistance, training, and information on the sustainable management and utilization of bamboo and rattan resources.
